CAPABILITY 01 — R&D, DESIGN & CAD/CAM

Get the design right before steel is cut.

Most of a mold's cost is locked in at the design stage. So our first job is to make your part moldable. If all you have is an idea, we design the product with you too.

01 / 04 SCOPE

What we do

  • 01 R&D product design: from idea and sketch to industrial design
  • 02 3D parametric modeling
  • 03 Reverse engineering (physical sample to 3D model)
  • 04 DFM: wall thickness, ribs, draft, undercuts
  • 05 Mold-flow analysis (fill, shrinkage, warpage, air traps)
  • 06 Mold-opening and ejection simulation
  • 07 Tolerancing and 2D drawings
  • 08 Design validation with functional prototypes (CNC machining or 3D printing)

DFM review is included with mold orders.

Once the design is approved, the mold starts in the same team.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Our R&D roots are in Atelsan Enerji, where we designed our own products for years. We define the requirements with you, create the product through industrial design and 3D modeling, make it moldable with DFM and mold-flow, validate it with a prototype and turn it into tooling-ready CAD.

Yes. Every mold project starts with a DFM report covering wall thickness, draft, undercuts and gate location, backed by mold-flow analysis where needed.

3D: STEP/STP (preferred), IGES/IGS, SLDPRT and Parasolid X_T. 2D: PDF, DWG, DXF. Upload up to 50 MB per file through the RFQ form.

Your files are used only for quoting and production. On request, we sign a mutual NDA before any file exchange.

For molded parts, tolerance depends on resin, geometry and where the dimension sits in the tool; we reference ISO 20457 tolerance groups. Mark critical dimensions on your drawing and we'll confirm achievability in the DFM report.
