CAPABILITY 02 — MOLD MAKING

Built in-house, from hardened tool steel.

Our new toolroom puts CNC machining, wire EDM and sinker EDM on one line. Your mold stays under one roof from design to T1.

Your system prefers reduced motion, so the film shows a still frame. Use the play button to start it. Schematic; scale, values and timing are illustrative.
  1. 01 ROUGHING Roughing removes most of the stock.
  2. 02 FINISHING A fine finishing pass brings the surface to size.
  3. 03 INSPECTION Critical dimensions are measured and recorded.
  4. 04 FITTING Mold halves are bench-fitted until they seat.
01 / 06 SCOPE

Mold types and scope

  • 01 Cold-runner (2- and 3-plate)
  • 02 Hot-runner (incl. valve-gated)
  • 03 Multi-cavity molds
  • 04 Slides, lifters and locking mechanisms
  • 05 Family molds
  • 06 Mold projects that start with R&D product design: from idea to tooling-ready CAD
  • 07 Series part production from your mold: from T1 approval to production under one roof

Fully paid molds are the customer's property; each tool carries an ID plate and is maintained and stored by us.

We don't only build molds for our own presses; we also build tools for your molding floor, delivered with trial report and maintenance documentation.

02 / 06 BEFORE AND AFTER THE MOLD

Design before the mold. Parts after it.

Your tooling project starts one step earlier, with your idea, and we finish one step later, with your series parts shipped.

R&D AND PRODUCT DESIGN

From concept to tooling-ready CAD

IDEA → INDUSTRIAL DESIGN → DFM → PROTOTYPE → MOLD

Our R&D roots are in Atelsan Enerji: for years we developed our own products, designed their molds and molded their parts. If all you have is an idea, a sketch or an old sample, we design the product with you and turn it into tooling-ready CAD.

  • Concept and requirements: function, environment, volume, cost target
  • Industrial design and 3D parametric modeling
  • Design for manufacturing (DFM) and mold-flow analysis
  • Functional prototype: CNC machining or 3D printing
  • Straight from the approved model into mold design

SERIES PRODUCTION

From T1 to series production, under one roof

T1 → T2 → APPROVAL → SERIES → SHIPMENT

Once the mold is approved, series molding starts in the same facility. Process parameters locked at T1 are held throughout production, and your tool never has to move to another molder.

  • Series molding on approved parameters, with lot labeling
  • Batch size agreed by part and tool; no fixed minimum order
  • Assembly, sub-assembly and packing

06 / 06 FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Every mold project starts with a DFM report covering wall thickness, draft, undercuts and gate location, backed by mold-flow analysis where needed.

3D: STEP/STP (preferred), IGES/IGS, SLDPRT and Parasolid X_T. 2D: PDF, DWG, DXF. Upload up to 50 MB per file through the RFQ form.

Your files are used only for quoting and production. On request, we sign a mutual NDA before any file exchange.

Lead time depends on slides, mold size and hot-runner lead time. We confirm the typical time from design approval to T1 samples in the project schedule sent with every quote.

T1 samples are molded after mold assembly and shipped with an inspection report; the date is set in the project schedule. After any corrections, approval is completed with T2 samples.

Once fully paid, the mold is your property. We store and maintain it at our facility and mold for you; on request, we release the tool to you.

For molded parts, tolerance depends on resin, geometry and where the dimension sits in the tool; we reference ISO 20457 tolerance groups. Mark critical dimensions on your drawing and we'll confirm achievability in the DFM report.

Yes. After T1 approval we move into series production in the same facility; approved process parameters are locked and production runs on them. We agree the batch size with you by part and tool, and can take on assembly and packing. If you'd rather run the tool on your own floor, we deliver it with a trial report and maintenance documentation.

Yes. Our R&D roots are in Atelsan Enerji, where we designed our own products for years. We define the requirements with you, create the product through industrial design and 3D modeling, make it moldable with DFM and mold-flow, validate it with a prototype and turn it into tooling-ready CAD.
